A detailed guide to joining our community of amateur radio enthusiasts.

Membership Eligibility Requirements

To become a member of the Bangladesh DX Club, you must meet one of the following criteria:

1. Licensed Operator with DX Record
  • Hold a valid amateur radio license from the BTRC.
  • Have a documented record of at least 1,000 DX QSOs on HF bands with the following mode combination:
    • SSB: Not less than 60%
    • FT8: Not more than 20%
    • CW: Not more than 10%
    • Satellite/VHF/UHF: Not more than 10%
  • Contacts must be verified via LoTW, QRZ, Club Log, or Paper QSL.
2. Technical Proficiency
  • Individuals with proven technical proficiency in designing, repairing, or operating amateur radio equipment are also eligible.

Application and Selection Process

Our selection process is designed to ensure that new members are familiar with our community and values:

  1. Proposal: An existing member must propose the new member's name with a duly filled membership form and all required documentation.
  2. Familiarity: The proposed member should be familiar to 100% of the Executive Committee members and 90% of the existing regular members.
  3. Voting: To be accepted, a new member requires a 100% vote from the Executive Committee and a 90% vote from the regular members.
  4. Review: The Executive Committee will review and approve all applications before the final voting process.

Membership Obligations & Code of Conduct

All members of the BDXC are expected to adhere to the following principles.

Active Participation

Members must actively participate in club activities, such as Contests, Workshops, and Technical Projects.

Ethical Practices

Engage in ethical DXing practices, including honest logging, fair competition, and respect for the airwaves.

Compliance & Integrity

Adhere to BTRC regulations, uphold the club's reputation, and maintain financial integrity and accountability.
